The riding school at Shardeloes is arguably the best in the Chilterns, we offer quality tuition, our instructors are all BHS accredited and can provide a safe and fun learning experience. Our instructors are driven by their love of horses so do come and let them inspire you to connect with some of the earth's most beautiful animals.
We teach anyone from beginners aged 4 to advanced at 80 and we would be delighted to help you develop in any of the riding disciplines that you would like to try.
Your safety and the welfare of our horses are our priorities so we insist on monitoring your ability on 'Merlin' our mechanical horse prior to riding the 'real thing'.
We will always try to accommodate last-minute bookings but please be advised that weekends are especially busy and often block booked by regular clients. Don't forget to check out our Offers & Promotions Page for a list of any discounts or incentives!
Cancellations
We will always try to be flexible but due to the level of disruption that sudden change can cause to our daily activity plan, we do enforce a strict cancellation policy, unless we hear from you 24 hours in advance of your lesson start time, we will charge the full lesson price.

What to wear
Dress for the weather - warm clothes in Winter (but please no strappy tops in the summer)
Riding Hats are available to hire, we just ask for a 50p donation - our sponsored Charity this year is Street Kids Direct (Reg. Charity No. 1102894)
What to do when you arrive
We ask for you to be considerate in arriving at least 10 minutes before your lesson start time. Our lesson plans get booked up very quickly and one late lesson can disrupt the whole day's rota.
Park in the car park and follow the signs to Reception, where you will be welcomed and asked to complete the New Client Form and have a short Health & Safety briefing.
